Air Conditioning Repair Services Can Help When Your AC Freezes Up

Driving an automobile can be a fun and relaxing activity, and the air conditioner not working at the last moment is the last thing you need. Without a properly functioning air conditioner, it can be very challenging to make it through the different seasons. However, do not fret because Auto Air Conditioning Repair services will allow you to fix up all the problems that have proven to be discomfort for so long. ASE certified mechanics will get such issues in your car out of the way. ASE certification is necessary as the minimal standard of excellence in the automobile industry. However what causes an air-conditioning problem in a car? Let's find out.

Here are some reasons why an air conditioner might freeze up during the summers. An air conditioning freezing up means that it will refuse to work and the refrigerant will freeze and will be unable to cool the outside heat.

Low airflow problem: If warm indoor air is not being blown over the evaporator coil, heat is not being absorbed. Normally, as it absorbs heat and gets warmer, the refrigerant molecules inside the coil contract.

Low refrigerant pressure: If there is a leak in the AC system, you have less refrigerant inside the coil, but the coil stays the same size, of course. So less refrigerant has more room to expand (to get colder). When it gets to low enough temperature, ice forms on the coil and you have a freeze.
